E&G moved to a new facility in 2021 and is still developing players under the new name Ignite Baseball. Ian continues to develop players of all ages as well as working for the Hooligans travel ball organization.

John Toya (Development Coach)

Coach Toya has been a long time youth coach in baseball, softball, and football. He has been a head and assistant High School Coach as well as running several travel ball teams. He has been with Ignite Baseball since 2016.

Rene Roque

Rene grew up in AZ playing little league baseball where he found the love for catching. He grew up focusing his love and passion for the game and became an elite catcher. He attended many baseball camps held by U of A and ASU that helped him develop his skills as a catcher. He traveled around playing in some of the toughest teams CA, AZ, NM and CO had to offer. His HS achievements include selected to the 1st Team All State and 1st Team All District teams 3 times. This all led to playing college baseball in AZ. After his playing career ended he moved to NM to start a career in IT and Telecommunications. Once his kids started playing he spent the next 15 years coaching them in both baseball and softball. He took the position as the Head JV Coach for SFHS in 2020. To him coaching at that level is most important, being able to teach discipline and technique of those key fundamentals in the game of baseball.

Shannon Evans (Development Coach)

Shannon Evans quickly made a name for himself as one of the better players in Santa Fe at a young age. Shannon continued to play baseball in Santa Fe through High School and eventually was invited to play in several rookie camps. He went to camps for the Reds, the Cubs and the San Francisco Giants. Unfortunately he was never invited to continue playing for any of those clubs. Now, Shannon works for the Los Alamos County Fire Department and volunteers his time on the board of the Santa Fe Little League. Shannon was also one of the coaches that helped coach the Santa Fe Little League All Star team to its first district title in 18 years. Shannon has two sons who both play baseball for Santa Fe little League. Shannon has worked hard to develop himself into a capable instructor and coach. He has, in addition to playing time, received his certification from Driveline in Youth Coaching and development, and a USA Baseball “B” coaching Certification.
