SILENT SERVICES for your comfort (no small talk for your hair service)

You can add this request to any appointment at Love is in the Hair. What it means is that outside of your initial consultation and any hair related questions from me. Most of your service will be peacefully silent (background music can be on or off at your request). It does not mean you have to be quiet, it does mean conversation is led by you, not me. I will answer any of your questions. Then, I will happily focus on your hair service leaving you free to enjoy the peace and quiet. This request can be very helpful for clients who; need to work during their hair appointment, are easily overstimulated, are recovering from concussions, dislike small talk, are in need of quiet for emotional reasons, to name just a few things.

Sarah believes that hair is a fabric and that every clients hair is UNIQUE. Sarah has been cutting natural curly hair for 30+ years. Life in our little mountain town can get really hard. If you are struggling financially; if mental health and addiction challenges are affecting your ability to work, if you're interviewing and need to look presentable, if you are retired and truly can't afford the current haircut prices in town, if the choice you are making today is groceries for my family or get my hair cut, if you have an upcoming court hearing and need to make the best impression possible. This service is from my heart to yours. I am walking this path beside you. I am another you. The minimum fee for this service is $1. I believe that given the opportunity to pay what we can, we will and that allows us our dignity. At this moment I can only offer one of these appointments per month. I will work on offering more if this service is booked. By booking this appointment you are supporting the next person who needs it.
