Ms. Jackson currently teaches 6th, 7th and 8th grade mathematics to gifted and high ability learners and has been serving gifted students since 2011. For the past ten years, she has served students in grades K-7, working at the school level with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to help address and meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted learners. She is dedicated to engaging students in meaningful learning opportunities, educating stakeholders about gifted children and their unique needs, and advocating for special programs designed to meet the needs of the gifted.
Julmarria Jackson is a middle school mathematics teacher in Luling, Louisiana. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and currently serves on the state board, The Association for Gifted and Talented Students of Louisiana, as the Vice-President of Communication and Advocacy.
