Child (8-10) Ear Lobe Piercing Visit + jewelry (selection varies) $80 cancellation fee

HEY PARENTS ! I know you don't have a lot of extra time while being a busy parent, but it's super important I promise! Before booking please read this entirely... Please don't book a checkup/cleaning under this service. Our service fee is for each piercing, as every piercing is another service being provided. I need your help ensuring your child is fully prepared and confident in their decision! Piercing Preparedness starts at home, ask our team how you can help prepare your child before arriving so we can work together in making sure they have the best experience possible. Please don't book this appointment if your child was recently sick or had surgery. We require you wait at least a month after being sick, and at least 3 months after surgery. We now charge a minimum of $80 for a pair of children's ear piercings, or $40 for a single lobe. We allot 1 hour for each Childs visit, this includes time for shopping, piercing, and explaining aftercare. If you take longer than the hour provided, we charge an additional $40 per half hour. We feel this is the best way to ensure parents are preparing their child prior to booking, and to discourage clients from going over their allotted time, which affects our other appointments in that day. Sometimes we have to be the bad guy. As a parent, we know you understand this. Booking this service does not guarantee your child will get pierced. Prior to doing the piercing we might have to make the tough decision that your child is not ready because we feel they won't allow us to safely complete both piercings. In this event you will be charged a $40 fee for our time and supplies. This is because we have outlined everything we possibly can to prepare you and the child prior to booking the appointment. If our team determines the child is not a good candidate yet, we will only charge a $40 fee the day of the consultation. We understand that you think your child is ready, that maybe they have been asking for this, that they see earrings and they want some for themselves. But please understand that sometimes us as parents are more ready than the child actually is, and wanting earrings is not the same as wanting a piercing. And being ready for earrings is not the same as understanding the possible pain and emotional stress that can come with getting a piercing, for children specifically. Even the most mature and tough children sometimes get in their head or decide it's too overwhelming. As professionals with more than 14 years of experience, we recommend that you spend at least 6 months to 1 year preparing your child for the responsibility and possible pain that comes with getting a piercing. It is helpful if your child has received any shots, has had blood taken, or has any experience with needles. We understand that more and more families are not vaccinating their children and we're completely comfortable with that! (and understand). We just ask that you start making your child comfortable with being around needles and medical-like environments. We will usually do a little demonstration for the child to make them more comfortable, so it helps that your child has already heard and is comfortable with mentioning "needles" "pokes" "shots" "picos" etc. It is also helpful if you practice breathing techniques with your child, especially when they are under distress. Breathing on cue, following directions when stressed or in pain is one of the most important things to learn prior to getting a piercing. Breathing in, filling your tummy with air, holding it for 1,2, and exhaling out like you're blowing out all the candles in one breath. This is exactly how we will tell the child to breathe before, during and after the piercing procedure. Simply put, perfecting this technique makes their experience and our jobs so much easier and enjoyable! Taking a 1-2 minute break between ears is perfectly normal, but if we need to take 5 minutes or longer to encourage, or rather, persuade the child, then they aren't ready to have their ears pierced. As the parent, this is something we are heavily relying on

Childs Ear Lobes Piercing Visit (10-12 yrs old) + jewelry (selection varies) $40 cancelation

Before booking please read: Do not book a checkup/cleaning under this service. HEY PARENTS ! We need your help ensuring your child is fully prepared and confident in their decision! Piercing Preparedness starts at home, ask our team how you can help prepare your child before arriving so we can work together in making sure they have the best experience possible. We now require a consultation the day before the piercing appointment for children 5-9 years old. We do this so we can make sure your child is comfortable with their surroundings and so the day of the piercing they're feeling more confident about the process. This also gives us a chance to assess if the child is a good candidate based on how developed their ears are, how well they allow the piercing technician to work on their ears, and to answer any questions you might have about the process or aftercare. If our team determines the child is not a good candidate yet, we will only charge a $20 fee the day of the consultation. If we are able to book your appointment you will only be required to pay for the piercing fees the day of the consultation, ($40 each ear) so if in the event the appointment is canceled the cancellation fee is already covered. Being honest with your child ahead of time, or preparing them for months, about any pain involved, explaining how the needle works but also reminding them of how strong and brave they are, really helps your piercer do their job smoothly! We now require a consultation the day before the piercing appointment. We do this so we can make sure your child is comfortable with their surroundings and so the day of the piercing they're feeling more confident about the piercing. Our service fee is for EACH piercing, as every piercing is another service being provided. Jewelry price is additional based on clients selection, but our standard jewelry starts at $40 EACH, and availability is not guaranteed, as our selection changes daily... PLEASE READ "How to prepare for your appointment" at the top of our website and in your email, our child policies, age requirements and required documents before booking. In the event a child decides they would rather wait, that's okay! We won't force them or create an unfavorable experience, but we do recommend explaining to the child that we have to get through both piercings if they decide they're ready! Because all of our policies are clearly stated on this page and our website, every appointment that is canceled upon arriving -or before- will be subject to an $80 cancellation fee, including the jewelry and taxes IF we have already started the process or have used the allotted appointment time pep talking and answering questions. This is higher due to in part by the amount of time set aside in our schedule for your child's piercings. Before booking please read: do not book a checkup/cleaning under this service.
