Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massage to relieve stress. Techniques included are Swedish, Lymphatic Drainage, and Tui Na. This massage uses oil and kneading and gliding movements to coax muscles to relax. Massage may also include stretches, joint range of motion, steam heat as therapist sees fit. Massage begins at scheduled clock time so clients are asked to arrive in parking lot a full 15 minutes early. New COVID 19 procedure: arrive in lot and text that you have arrived. Wait for return text that it is safe to enter. Come downstairs with mask on and wash hands from wrist down for 20 seconds.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue massage is for one area of knotted tension, pain, discomfort or concern. Techniques used include Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, stretches, strain counter strain, range of motion, T-bar or other tool. New COVID 19 procedure- Massage begins at scheduled clock time- so clients are asked to arrive in parking lot a full 15 minutes prior to appointment, text that they have arrived, wait for return text that it is safe for them to come downstairs, enter suite with mask on and wash hands for 20 seconds from wrist down.

ADD-ON Cupping

Supercharge your massage with Cupping. Relieve pain, adhesions, and Trigger Points. I do two kinds of cupping. Static Cupping: Silicone cups are inverted and placed on the skin. Dynamic Cupping: Silicone cups are placed over oiled skin and slid over areas of held tension. NOTE: Cupping technique should NOT hurt, however circular bruises are a common after effect. Contraindicated for some health conditions and additional consent form required. All forms of heat (hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, tanning beds, heating pads) need to be avoided for 48 hours over cupped/bruised areas.

Grand Rapids Massage Therapy is a place to unplug and relax. Busy work, calls, texts, and electronic device use is to be completed before your appointment so that you may fully relax during treatment. Answering or attending your cell, pod, tablet or other electronic device comes with a $25 service fee added to total treatment price and will immediately terminate your service. Exception made for organ transplant doctors.

Reflexology treatment of the feet. Massage of foot and lower leg, and Zone Therapy Reflexology to the feet. Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is an alternative medical practice involving the application of pressure to specific points on the feet. This is done using specific thumb, finger, and hand massage techniques. Not a replacement for pedicure or medical treatment. New COVID 19 procedure: Arrive in parking lot a full 10 minutes prior to scheduled time- your Reflexology session begins at the scheduled clock time. Text that you have arrived and wait for return text that it is safe for you to enter. Come downstairs with mask on, and wash hands in suite bathroom.

Sports massage is for athletes of any degree and is centered around your athletic event. Please wear stretchy athletic clothing to your appointment. No oil is used.
