Cherry Angioma Treatment

A machine that uses a small, thin, hot needle will be used to burn the dilated blood vessel which will cause the blood vessel to constrict and disappear. Raised and larger cherry angiomas will develop a scab and may need to be removed in a different method. Please send photos and location for pricing.

Cyst Removal

A cyst is basically a very large white head or comedone that develops in hair-bearing skin that contain sebum (oil) and dead skin cells. For proper cyst removal, the sac that contains the sebum and dead skin cells needs to be removed. Local anesthesia will be used to numb the area so no pain will be felt, an incision into the skin will be made and the cyst will be removed. Wart Treatment

There are a variety of treatments for warts which include freezing (which is much stronger than over-the-counter freezing treatment), a solution that is more child friendly, burning, injections, and surgically removing which is a last resort treatment. Skin biopsy/mole removal

If not contraindicated, lesion/mole will be numbed with local anesthesia and surgically removed. Stitches will be placed (usually not needed), hemostasis will be obtained, area will be bandaged, and wound care instructions will be given to patient.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPNs)

A machine that uses a small, thin, hot needle will be used to harden the DPNs which will cause them to fall off over the next few weeks. Most patients can tolerate the procedure well. Can get a prescription for a topical numbing cream if desired. Please send a photo and address for pricing.

Xanthalasma treatment

If not contraindicated, xanthalasma are numbed with local anesthesia, and a machine using a small, thin, hot needle is used to chisel the yellow deposits flushed to the skin. Scar tissue will develop over the next four weeks which will blend with the surrounding skin. Please note this treatment is an alternative to surgery which will cost considerably more.
