120 Minute Hybrid Massage

This massage is designed to facilitate healing by helping you relax and release tension with long, soothing strokes. Longer appointments allow you to truly settle in to the massage mentally and physically. There is no sense of rush or time limit with this massage. Based on your client intake form and a discussion with you prior to your massage, together we can come up with a treatment plan that is specific to your needs. There may be some Swedish strokes, therapeutic massage techniques, and some stretches that you'd find in a sports massage, and depending on your massage therapist, Ashiatsu Massage. Leave it up to the experts, we'll take good care of you! Young Living essential oils can be added to this massage to assist in muscle relaxation and aromatherapy for an additional $10. Please let your therapist know at the beginning of the massage if you'd like to include the oils.

As a practice, it is compromised as a set of unique and proprietary foundational and structural techniques, strokes and sequences, all of which were designed to be customized to suit each client’s individual needs. If you like deeper pressure, this massage is for you!

Your therapist will ask what your primary complaint is based on your pain, findings through a series of range of motion evaluation, and visual assessment. (Light- Medium Pressure) This massage focuses on the needs of the athlete. Massage promotes muscle restoration and growth by encouraging blood flow, bringing fresh oxygen and nutrients to the muscle tissue. Your treatment will involve more stretching, longer and lighter strokes than the Therapeutic Massage. A sports massage an be tailored to be pre-workout or post-workout.

90 Minute Prenatal

(Light- Medium Pressure) This treatment is ideal for the expectant mother who needs the extra time to unload and unwind on the massage table. While this is a valuable treatment, this massage is not recommended if you are pregnant and have not gotten a massage while pregnant before. It's important to have an understanding of how your body responds to massage while pregnant before receiving this treatment.

Sometimes your feet just need a little extra attention! This add on service is a delight- your feet are washed by hot towels and massaged with all organic, vegan cream. Add this 20 minute service to your massage appointment for $35 or book it independently for $50 (this is not reflexology or a spa pedicure treatment).

Evie

In 2015 Evie became a certified personal trainer with the mission teach clients how to become and stay active through various modes of exercise. She spent countless hours studying orthopedic exercise and reviewing muscles that impair and encourage improper and painful movement. Through this Evie discovered the importance of massage for physical and psychological function. Evie graduated from massage school in 2017 eager to help people find or maintain an active healthy lifestyle. Since then Evie has been learning and practicing therapeutic and sports massage to keep people (and herself) moving and maintaining their health. When Evie isn’t practicing massage, she's training others in the gym, coaching in both health and nutrition, or studying to increase her knowledge. You can also find her working on her bench, squat, and deadlift, lost in the woods with her two hound dogs Mack and Olive, or behind her sewing machine expressing her creative side.

Gwyn

Gwyn's passion is to live life to the fullest with those around her. Upon finishing her massage education at Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts & Science in 2013 she found herself back in Northern Michigan working at a chiropractic center. Since then she has created Stillwater Massage and has found fulfillment in watching the clientele and her depth of practice grow. As a native of Northern Michigan she is thrilled to be able to practice massage therapy in Petoskey. When she's not working with clients Gwyn enjoys spending her time hiking, camping, and many more outdoor activities.
