Cranial Sacral Therapy
Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle massage technique that uses light touch to correct imbalances and restrictions in the central nervous system and connective tissue, including fascia. The subtle manipulation of bones, tissue and membranes supports and increases the body’s self-healing ability. CST is non-invasive and concentrates on the head, spine, and hips. The client will experience different supportive holds of the head, spine, and pelvis. Clients have stated that this massage technique alleviates physical pain and can promote emotional release. The self-healing initiated during an appointment can last several days after the massage. Some people may feel tired after the session, and others may feel energized. For the 60 min session, clients are asked to wear comfortable clothing because you are not required to disrobe. The 90-minute appointment includes traditional massage techniques, like Swedish and effleurage modalities, and then CST is implemented; therefore, clients will be undressed and draped with a sheet and blanket during the entire session. Some benefits of Cranial Sacral Therapy include*: - decrease pain and frequency of headaches and migraines - regulate disturbed sleep cycles - help sinus and sinus drainage restrictions - decrease temporomandibular joint dysfunction pain (TMJD) - decrease chronic pain *Contraindications – Do not schedule a CST appointment if you have any of the following: blood clots, acute concussion, brain aneurysm or Chiari malformation.

Destinee
My name is Destinee I have been a practicing massage therapist since 2013. I approach my sessions with a variety of modalities, including relaxation, stretching, and trigger point therapy. Facial release plays a key role in maximizing the benefits of bodywork by stretching the fascia, increasing blood flow, and improving joint mobilization. I believe that using gentle and sustained pressure throughout the massage can be beneficial in releasing muscle tension and restoring tissues to normal function. This process can improve blood circulation, enhance flexibility, and promote better alignment in muscles and joints. Ultimately contributing to the reduction of pain.
