Kelly Macedo

Since my early days in school, I was always drawn to cutting and she formed a strong passion for it, lending me to specializing. I believe in honing in to have one strong point of focus to perfect. I’m always learning and always changing in order to challenge myself and my ideas on how to cut hair. Yes, I’ve been taught the basic fundamentals of haircutting, but it's important to question my approach from time to time to see how I can better my skills. More often than not, haircutting is more of an intuitive feeling than the rules I’ve been taught. I believe that if you have a great haircut, you don’t need to compensate with over-styling and using products. I love working with your natural texture and teaching clients at-home techniques to style their hair without having to spend ages on it. I began my 13 years of experience studying at Paul Mitchell in San Diego. And then went on to apprentice at Jet Rhys, Jonathan Salon and Warren Tricomi.
