Fashion Colors/Special Effects
Thanks to some great advancements in hair color formula, this new wave of fashion colors doesn’t limit your choices to popsicle shades. You choose from pastels, metallics, and bolder brights. They are applied and blended with different techniques, such as ombre and balayage! Keep in mind that if you are coming in with brown hair, it might take you a couple of appointments to get as light as needed before the fashion color can be applied! **Consultations are a MUST!**
Balayage
The French word for "sweeping". This European process involves free hand-painting of color onto the hair to create a more natural effect. Wonderful for those looking for something subtle and low maintenance.
Balayage with Color
Glaze
A quick 15-25 minute process to refresh your color and add shine. Great for cutting brassy blonde, kicking up reds, or sparkling up your natural color. Some glazes are clear, which you can think of as a top coat for color. Glazes can also provide intense conditioning and often help repair damage to hair.
Lowlights
A technique that darkens strands of hair (rather than lightening them). Adds depth to hair, which gives the illusion of more volume, and is often paired with highlights in order to add even more dimension.
Bleach and Tone
Using lightener to remove all the natural color and achieve the brightest of blondes. This process gives a dramatic effect such as platinum, but requires frequent touch-ups. If you know you're a "bleach and tone", feel free to book. **New Clients** MUST schedule a consultation before booking.
Ombre
This look is generally low-maintenance and uses the balayage technique to paint color onto the bottom half of the hair length. (Balayage is the technique; ombré is the look.) Hair is colored darker at the roots (or left alone if naturally dark) and fades to a lighter hue at the ends (or vice versa).
