Fibroblast plasma skin tightening is a revolutionary non-surgical treatment that uses plasma to revive natural production of collagen, hyaluronic acid and fibronectin needed for fresh, youthful looking skin. Common areas treated with fibroblast include: upper eye lids, lower eye lids, crow’s feet, frown lines, forehead lines, neck lines, smile lines, upper & lower lip for a “No-Needle Lip Flip,” stretch marks, and stomach. Patients with a Fitzpatrick Skin Type 1, 2, 3, and 4 are candidates for this procedure. A history of metal implants at site of treatment, pregnancy/breastfeeding, active skin infections, active cancer & presence of a pacemaker are disqualifying factors for this treatment.
A fibroblast treatment begins with topical numbing to reduce the heat sensation. Then a microcurrent is passed through the handpiece into the upper layer of the skin in a pattern appropriate for the desired outcome and area being treated. This microcurrent induces small points, “dots,” of microtrauma for skin repair & rejuvenation. Dots remain on the skin for up to a week and for the first 3 days healing ointment is the only product applied to the treated area. Optimal results occur with 2 to 3 sessions spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart. Results typically last 1-3 years dependent upon how well the skin is cared for and protected from the sun’s damaging rays.
Please reach out for a more detailed list of contraindications for this treatment as well as pre & post procedure instructions which can be helpful in deciding when to schedule your treatment. Staying out of the sun is very important in the 1-2 weeks after treatment.
