Self-Treatment Phone/Video Consultation

If you use The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook or Frozen Shoulder Workbook but need a little extra guidance, a video or phone consultation with Amber Davies could be just what you need. We can do self-treatment together via What's App, FaceTime, Google Duo, or Facebook Video Messenger to problem solve, locate and treat trigger points. In the notes, please specify the app you would like to us for the call. Also please make sure to include your phone number and country code if outside the US. Amber will call you at the scheduled time. Prepare to have a copy of the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook or Frozen Shoulder Workbook and all of your massage tools available at the time of the call. Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy - 75 minutes

For established clients this is my standard outcome-based massage therapy appointment. In 75 minutes hands-on therapy, and self-treatment education are combined in one and tailored for to meet your needs. I treat chronic and acute pain conditions using a blend of myofascial trigger point therapy, orthopedic massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage therapy, stretching and other modalities. If you are suffering from headache, stiff neck, neck pain, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, hip pain, sciatica, low back pain, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, hip pain, intra-pelvic pain, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet syndrome, migraine, jaw pain/TMJD, chronic myofascial pain syndrome or any combination of a variety of symptoms this is the approach you have been missing.

Therapeutic Relaxation Massage - 75 minutes

Established client session. Therapeutic massage for deep relaxation and stress relief. Problem solving and specific pain treatment won't be the focus of this session but your body will feel looser and more agile at the end. The appointment time is longer than most massage appointments to ensure you a full relaxing 60 minutes on the treatment table. Whether you need deep tissue or general relaxing Swedish massage choose this option if a tension relieving full body massage is what you are craving.

Trigger Point Tune Up - 60 minutes

For established clients who need more treatment, more frequently. In this 60 minute session, we can work through a treatment plan tailored especially for you. We can treat your chronic and acute pain conditions. using a blend of myofascial trigger point therapy, orthopedic massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage therapy, stretching and other modalities just in a shorted session. Self-treatment education and relaxation massage are also options for this shorter session.

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy - 2 hours

Established clients. This 2 hour session works especial well for chronic, complex or multiple areas of pain and dysfunction. We will customize each session with a combination of assessment, clinical myofascial treatment, self-treatment education and frequency specific microcurrent depending on what you need that day.

New Client Appointment - 90 minutes Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy

Initial appointment for new clients with mild to moderate acute pain or a single area of complaint. Hands-on clinical treatment including myofascial trigger point therapy, myofascial release, orthopedic massage, neuromuscular massage, deep tissue, Swedish massage, stretching and self-treatment education will be combined and tailored for your specific needs. Relaxing wellness massage is also available for new clients in this 90 minute session.

For established clients who need a longer therapy appointment that may include frequency specific microcurrent or other advanced therapies. In 90 minutes hands-on therapy, frequency specific micro-current (FSM) self-treatment education are combined in one and tailored for to meet your needs. I treat chronic and acute pain conditions using a blend of myofascial trigger point therapy, orthopedic massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage therapy, stretching and other modalities. Relaxing wellness massage is also available for new clients in this longer session.

Amber Davies

Amber Davies is a certified myofascial trigger point therapist, Kentucky licensed massage therapist, and owner of New Day Myopain Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Amber completely revised The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook (3rd edition) written by her father Clair Davies. This most recent edition was published nationally by New Harbinger Publications in 2013. The workbook is also available internationally in over 25 languages. The journey from pain sufferer to therapist began for Amber in the summer of 1991 when she injured her back in summer theatre. After years of pain her father, Clair Davies, helped to solve her chronic low back pain during his early explorations of doctors Janet Travell and David Simons’ landmark medical textbooks on myofascial trigger point therapy. In addition to treating client/patients, Amber also teaches continuing education for therapists and self-treatment to folks in pain.
