Private Makeup Lesson - Makeup 101 - Introduction to Beautiful, Natural Looking Makeup
Not quite sure what you’re doing with your makeup? You want to look fresh, healthy and pulled together but you’re not quite sure how? Maybe you never really learned a lot about makeup when you were younger, or maybe it’s been a while since you’ve put time and energy into updating your look. You understand that makeup when used properly can be incredibly effective, but you’re just not quite sure how to actually achieve the results you’re after. You want to look like yourself, just better. One thing you know for sure is you do NOT want to see heavy, caked on looking makeup. We’ve got you! Your Makeup 101 Lesson begins with a quick get to know you conversation where we take the time to find out who you are, your makeup personality (ie how you’re currently doing your makeup and how much time you’re interested in spending most days on it), and about how makeup needs to fit in with your lifestyle: are you active with sport? at an office? are you appearing frequently in front of cameras and video? are you retired and spending more time on the golf course and with grandkids? dry sensitive skin or eyes? Your unique circumstances matter and we take the time to listen and customize what we’ll teach you in your lesson. Experience a makeup lesson designed just for you, teaching you the skills and techniques you are interested in and need to understand in order to achieve the results you want. You’ll learn what shades are best for you and how and when to use the various beauty tools and products. Topics covered include: basic good skincare habits, how to even out your complexion with concealer/foundations, how to help makeup last throughout the day, classic eye makeup techniques, eyebrow techniques, options for cheeks (blush/bronzer/highlighter/contour) and options for lips ranging from very natural to a more structured done lip. Cut through the overwhelm and confusion. Learn simple, straightforward effective makeup techniques to help you feel confident each and every day as you get yourself ready to step out into your day looking and feeling your most radiant, beautiful best.

Private Group Makeup Lessons (2-4 people)
Not quite sure what you’re doing with your makeup? You want to look fresh, healthy and pulled together but you’re not quite sure how? And you’ve got a good buddy or much loved family member who’s in the same boat and you’d like to spend some quality time together learning some useful new makeup skills? The same basic lesson plan as for a Private Makeup Lesson (see for details), just with the time spread out over a few friends. Learn from each other’s questions and have some fun together. Classes are 2.5 hours long, all makeup lesson materials are provided, group lessons with Adrienne Furrie are $195/person. For public group makeup lessons please see the Daily Makeup Course being offered this March 7/14/21 and 28th from 7:00pm-8:15pm. Wedding Makeup Trial
First things first, congratulations on your engagement! Here at AF Makeup, we love, LOVE weddings. The friends, the family, the frocks, the locks, the flowers, and most importantly ( from our perspective ) ... the gorgeous, romantic wedding makeup. This makeup trial is our chance to experiment, to nail the look you’re after and to make sure it holds up perfectly after you leave. It also eliminates any guesswork on your wedding day and I’ll provide a few beauty tips to prepare your skin before the big day. You bring your Pinterest board, I’ll bring the makeup. Makeup Trials typically take 90 minutes and take place at my Calgary Studio near Marda Loop. Book a trial before you book for your wedding or book as part of the package. Rate: $200 Top Tip - plan your bachelorette party or engagement photos after your trial and see how your makeup performs under pressure!

False Lash Lesson - Learn to Apply Your Own False Lashes
When it's time to elevate your look from yeah you look good to "OKAY WAIT, YOU LOOK SERIOUSLY AMAZING" - guaranteed false lashes are a major part of the equation. In all seriousness temporary false lashes are the best and a total game changer once you wrap your head around getting them on and understanding what to look for in a good set of lashes. That's what this specialized lesson focusses on exclusively; how to choose lashes and most importantly, how to get them on so they're sitting properly, don't bug you and don't budge. Integration Session
Integration Sessions take place 6 weeks following your makeup lesson. This 60 minute session supports you in sticking with forming your new makeup routines (change can be tricky!). And this is your chance to clarify any additional makeup or technique questions that surface when you're at home putting your new skills to practice. You'll arrive wearing your newly learned makeup look (showing off your great new skills!). Receive feedback, tips and pointers to further refine your technique and solidify your confidence, you've got this!

Makeup Application
Whether you've got a special night on the town planned, a family photoshoot or need professional photos of yourself or models for your company - I know how to make you glow (in the right way) in real life and in front of the camera. Rates are $150 for in studio makeup / $200 for on site for a single person (drops back to $150 per person on site for two or more people). (Please note bridal makeup rates are separate.)
