Alexis Filippini

Alexis Filippini, PhD, is the founder and executive director of Building on the Best, a nonprofit organization providing strengths-based literacy programming that helps children rebuild their relationships with learning. Dr. Filippini is also an independent consultant, coach, and trainer (a “freelance professor”) for schools, libraries, and parent organizations. She earned her Ph.D. in special education with an emphasis in cognitive science from UC Santa Barbara. www.alexisfilippini.com
