The Ballroom

Built in 1990 as a private dance studio, The Ballroom is one of the areas best kept secrets. This beautiful event site, located within a renovated facility, boasts classical architectural design features and subtle, understated traditional furnishings - a premier facility in the Washington metropolitan area. Located at the crossroads of Bethesda and Chevy Chase, right off River Road, The Ballroom is ideal for many functions. It can comfortably accommodate 250 persons for a seated function including room for dancing, with an unobstructed view of the whole ballroom. It is fully air-conditioned and impeccably decorated, including: a grand foyer, parlor, reception room with fireplace, and private dining room. It is elegantly appointed with exquisite Waterford chandeliers, palladian-mirrored windows, a completely integrated sound system and beautiful hardwood floors.

New Client/Tour Appointment
Please add a description under Appointment Notes letting us know the following information: 1. What date you are looking for, (if you are flexible with your date, please add other dates you are open to) 2. The type of event you wish to have at The Ballroom 3. If you would like to have a service or ceremony at The Ballroom. 4. An estimated guest count. 5. Any other services or advice you're looking for. NOTE: The Ballroom must approve your appointment to be valid
Client Meeting
This meeting focuses on schedule, vendors, additional rentals, and floor plan. NOTE: The Ballroom must approve your appointment to be valid
Client & Vendor Meeting
This appointment is with both the Client and their Vendor(s).
Vendor Meeting
This is an appointment with just the vendor(s). The vendor will meet with our venue coordinator to go over the rules and regulations of The Ballroom, drop off insurance documents required by The Ballroom and schedule arrival times, drop-offs, and floor plan. Cancellation Fee: Will only be charged if you don’t cancel before 12 hours or if you don’t show to the meeting. NOTE: [As of January 1, 2019 ALL VENDORS are required to have insurance in order to work at The Ballroom] NOTE: The Ballroom must approve your appointment to be valid
Design Center Appointment
Client Drop Off
Drop off of any drinks, ice, decor, etc. for your event. Please schedule an appointment the day before or the morning of your event.
Vendor Delivery
If a Vendor of any kind would like to drop equipment/materials off prior to the event [with The Ballroom's approval, of course], you may use this time to schedule that. Please know, that if requested time conflicts with another event, it won't be allowed.
1 Hour Rehearsal
Ceremony or Special Event Rehearsal: Monday - Friday before 5 p.m: Rehearsal's must be scheduled in advance. If your rehearsal goes over 1 hour, every additional 30 minutes or fraction thereof will cost an additional $150.00 Saturday: Rehearsal's can only take place from 9:00AM-11:00AM. No additional time will be given. Times are subject to change based on prior authorization by The Ballroom.
2 Hour Rehearsal
Special Dances or Ceremony Rehearsal. (every 30 mins over will have a fee of $150.00 Additional fee). Monday - Friday Rehearsals Saturday Rehearsal's are not available.
Client Pick up
We prefer that client's remove all items from The Ballroom on the night of the event, however, if approved by The Executive Director, you may return on Monday to retrieve the rest of your items.
Late Vendor Pick Up
Vendor's must remove all item's from The Ballroom on the night of the event. In the event that cannot take place, and with the Executive Director's approval, vendors may return the following Monday between 11:00am-4:00pm to retrieve the rest of their items. This will incur a "Late Pick Up Fee".
