Our Services

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy - 75 minutes
This is my standard outcome-based massage therapy appointment. Assessment, hands-on therapy, and self-treatment education are combined in this session. Chronic and acute pain conditions from head to toe can be successfully treated in my clinic using a blend of myofascial trigger point therapy, orthopedic massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, stretching and other modalities. If you are suffering from headache, stiff neck, neck pain, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, hip pain, sciatica, low back pain, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, hip pain, intra-pelvic pain, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet syndrome, migraine, jaw pain/TMJD, chronic myofascial pain syndrome or any combination of a variety of symptoms this is the approach you have been missing. Longer sessions are available to book by phone. Please call 502-468-1016 to schedule.
Therapeutic Relaxation Massage - 75 minutes
Therapeutic massage for deep relaxation and stress relief. Problem solving and specific pain treatment won't be the focus of this session but your body will feel looser and more agile at the end. The appointment time is longer than most massage appointments to ensure you a full relaxing 60 minutes on the treatment table. Whether you need deep tissue or general relaxing Swedish massage choose this option if a tension relieving full body massage is what you are craving.
Trigger Point Tune Up
This is a shortened outcome-based massage therapy session designed for existing patients who need less treatment more frequently. If you are seeking a less expensive option for treatment call me, I don't take insurance, but I do have a sliding scale.
Self-Treatment Phone Consultation
If you are using The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook or Frozen Shoulder Workbook but need a little extra help a phone consultation with Amber Davies may be helpful. We can do self-treatment over the phone together to problem solve locating and treating trigger points. This is not a substitution for qualified licensed medical care. Please make sure to include your US based phone number so Amber can call you at the scheduled time.
Additional 30 Minutes Added
Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy - 2 hours
This is a longer session that works well as an initial appointment or an extra-long myofascial treatment. Assessment, clinical treatment and self-treatment education can be done in this one long session. It's a great jump start for most everyone wanting to overcome chronic pain. To better manage the calendar software, please call 502-468-1016 to schedule this appointment option.

Our Staff

Amber Davies
Amber Davies is a certified myofascial trigger point therapist, Kentucky licensed massage therapist, and owner of New Day Myopain Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Amber completely revised The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook (3rd edition) written by her father Clair Davies. This most recent edition was published nationally by New Harbinger Publications in 2013. The workbook is also available internationally in over 20 languages. The journey from pain sufferer to therapist began for Amber in the summer of 1991 when she injured her back in summer theatre. After years of pain her father, Clair Davies, helped to solve her chronic low back pain during his early explorations of doctors Janet Travell and David Simons’ landmark medical textbooks on myofascial trigger point therapy. In addition to treating client/patients, Amber also teaches continuing education for therapists and self-treatment to folks in pain.
