Treatment where the body is sprayed with products to leave an artificial sun tan.
Are you about to get a spray tan? Here is how you should prep! 24 hours before the service you should shave, exfoliate, and moisturize, the tan is only temporary, so to extend the life of the tan is to avoid shaving and exfoliating 7 days post tan. Night before the tan appointment rinse with warm water, NO SOAP, moisturizer or any other products you put on the skin come in with clean skin! (including deodorant, perfume, and any other hygiene products)
What to wear and expect:
Wear (or bring) loose clothing to the appointment. Tight clothing can cause separation in the solution and can cause the tan to have lines where the seams or straps of tight clothing was laying (bras, underwear, Jean seams etc.). When you arrive for the appointment we will go into the tan room and get ready. You will be asked to get undressed to your comfort level. Most prefer to go nude but if that is past your comfort level you are welcome to wear a swimsuit or bra and underwear. (Avoid light colored clothing as it could result in staining)
Understand that if you wear clothing or any sort you will have tan lines, as the skin behind the clothing will not get sprayed.
Right after the tan:
You will be damp and a little sticky, I will ask you to air dry for about 2 mins before putting any clothes on. Once you are dressed you are good to checkout and go!
AVOID SWEATING, WATER, or any liquids for the set time you were given by technician. (This includes laundry and dishes) Depending on the tan you receive you need to wait 2-8 hours before showing or getting wet. With the first shower, you’re going to get in use warm water, not hot you’re going to just rinse your entire body get all of the solution off and circular motions. You’re going to JUST use water and rinse off the solution NO SOAP!! Then, when you hit the 12 hour mark you’re going to actually be able to shower with soap. The time in between the first rinse and the actual shower you will look very good, but the tan needs to set for 12 hours before you wear make up or any product! It takes the tan 12 hours to develop!! Keep your skin hydrated from the inside and out! To keep the tan lasting after you shower PAT DRY don’t wipe it or rub in or out of the shower! In the second shower apply soap to your hands and wash gently. Don’t shave or exfoliate until the tan has been on for your desired time. Shaving and exfoliating will lessen the wear of the tan. After you shower moisturize once a day and drink plenty of water to avoid separation of the tan.
‼️ If you are under the age of 18 you HAVE to wear a swimsuit or under garments! Also, a legal guardian has to be present with you at the service!
